I’ve had an MES and now use a WSM 18.5” with a FireBoard and put viper fan.
I don’t like the cleanup and setup time associated with the WSM, but I love that it’s set and forget with the FireBoard.
I also have a Weber propane grill, but I’m looking towards something that can do it all.
I don’t...
Edit: I think I discovered the problem. I put the meat on the second highest rack and a cookie sheet with tin foil just below it on the third highest rack. I removed the sheet and the temperature seems to be registering correctly once again. I can only assume that the cookie sheet (a half sheet...

https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/masterbuilt-bluetooth-electric-smoker-mes-340g-mb20075118
it’s currently $299 plus tax and shipping, so if I can get it for less, all the better.
Hi-new to smoking and want to jump in.
from the research I’ve done, I’m currently between propane or electric.
I know for electrics that Masterbuilt seems to be the go-to brand and the AMAZN pellet thing is definitely required, but I need some more help. I think bear carver or someone may have...
