I second using Shooter Rick's Snake Bitten rub, that stuff is amazing on anything we have tried it on, including chicken, turkey, and ribs. Just the right amount of spice to keep me happy, not too much to send the kids running for the milk.
I've always done a brine with my turkeys, but only for the sole reason it is how my mom did it, and i never had a turkey quite like hers (granted i might be able to top her now). I think if you have time to brine, you might as well, it wont hurt any
Ok, the q-view as promised. It turns out the Mother in Law will just pickup the Turkey breast tomorrow, so i didn't have to worry about transport, and even got to steal a taste, you know, to make sure it was edible.
