Well im about 8 hours into it and its temping at 162F .. Guess i gotta get the foil ready.. Im really not sure if i should foil or not?.. I want that good bark!
Hey guys! im getting ready for a long smoke tommorow.. i got myself a 11 1/2 pound "bone-in" pork shoulder butt.. from what i read this is a fairly large size compared to most of the butts.. but i can assure its one piece and i would have taken photos but its already rubbed and in the fridge...
Hey guys!.. So last night i bought about 4 or 5 pounds of chicken legs and i planned on smoking them today..
Well i brined these legs in the usual brine.. but added some hickory liquid smoke and a couple chugs of tabasco for some flavor.. I let these guys swim in there for about 3 hours...
Do you think if i add some water to the pan it would help? i did marinate them for 24 hours and the meat was already breaking down as i stuck them in the smoker?
Hey guys.. Well it was a really long day for me.. but i managed to cook up a brisket and i really enjoyed it.. "this was my second time using my smoker so i was a little nervous lol". but now time for some pics and some info on what i did.. and what i would like to do next..
