I just ordered this. It is all stainless steel made in the US of A. The company is called Smokehouse Chef out of Texas.
It was $159.00 with free shipping and no tax. Kitchen Aid meat grinder
I have never made sausage and figured this was the best way into learning this process without going...
Broke out my Sous Vide. Cooked a ribeye at 129 for 1 hour (medium rare). I use my Lodge 11 inch square griddle to perform the sear. This time I used my MAPP gas torch. I was a little cautious because it's like a gazillion degrees.
The ribeye was really yummy. It's like cheating using this...
I agree 100%.
I have my Webber dialed in. I going to pull the trigger next week on a Cook Shack Amerique (SM066) electric smoker. It has the resting capability built in. The most I have rested a brisket was 7 hours (FTC method). Now I want to try at least 12 hours. I bet 24 would be...
When my die, I won't be buying them again. I was traveling significantly for work and had some travel money left over. That is the only reason I bought them. I had to call them right after I received them about something (set up issues) and I swear I talked to someone in southern California...
I agree - "I have a pretty good idea of the temp their running by the way I set them up, and if I'm off by a few degrees here or there I'm not sweating it."
I can set up my Webber by the vents and charcoal placement and be fairly close. My first addition to my Webber was a Tel-Tru probe in the...
Fireboard is the way to go. It has probes so you can the temp from the unit and Wi-Fi. It also has a fan for temperature control. You don't have to use the Wi-Fi but it is available.
I have the Meater Block. I bought it right after they were introduced. Mine connects to my Wi-Fi and I can be 50 miles away and check on my cook. I mainly use it for stuff in my oven.
I also have a Fire Board 2 Pro that I use with primarily with my Webber SNS setup. I've done comparisons and...

I tried it once. I used dill pickle juice. It turned out pretty well. Not an exact copy but close enough. Give it a try.
INGREDIENTS
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup dill pickle juice
1 ½ cups milk, divided
1 cup peanut oil
1 large egg
½ cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon...
I am in the market for a new smoker. I have been looking at the Amerique SM066 for a while. I discovered the LSG Pee Wee on accident. I do not care about the smoke ring either. I really like the SM066 for the set and forget and temperature holding capabilities.
But with that said, I have...
Thanks for the comments. Now I have to figure out how to teach my wife cooking on "high" temperature is not the norm. She does not want to understand about "med-high" and preheat.
It is a daily battle over my perfectly seasoned cast iron skillets.
