    Traeger Timberline 1300

I am another happy 1300 owner. I have had mine for a while now and have been very happy with the results it delivers. The only problems I have had is with the wifi connection but I changed my router system and haven't had any problems since. I wouldn't hesitate to get one again.

    Lumber Jack pellets at Dick's

Well I gave up on not ordering in bulk and am going to try Cookingpellets.com. I have read nothing but good things about their pellets and they offer smaller bulk orders. The other nice thing about them is they ship with every bag individually boxed, so no loading dock required and they will be...

To Yoder or not to Yoder?

I have the Timberline 1300 and it's been a very good grill for me. I'm sure the Yoder has improved, from when I was looking, but it had some major problems, as far as I was concerned. The first is the rust problem, second was the old type controller, I read they have a new controller now, third...

Pellets in the Great White North

I have had my Traeger Timberline 1300 for several years now and it sits outside, under a Traeger cover, year round. I am in central VA, so it doesn't get as cold as your area but it still gets very cold at times. I have cooked on my 1300 when it was 3 degrees outside, as well as other times in...

    Lumber Jack pellets at Dick's

They also require delivery to a loading dock, or arranging you own delivery. Just not for me and you haven't seen the lack of storage space in my garage. lol

    Lumber Jack pellets at Dick's

I'm in central VA, a bulk order is what I am trying to avoid. I just don't use enough pellets for a bulk order, so a bulk order will last me for a long time. I don't want to have to store a bulk load all that time in my garage.

    Lumber Jack pellets at Dick's

Looks like my quest will continue. The shipping charges from Rural King make it a dead prospect.

    Lumber Jack pellets at Dick's

That's what I was afraid of, I don't want chemical flavored pellets. Thanks, I think I am going to pass on the Bear Mt. pellets. I am going to try and order Lumberjack online from Rural King and see how it goes.

    Lumber Jack pellets at Dick's

Brain fart, I shouldn't post at 1:30 in the morning. I meant Bear Mountain and have corrected my post, thanks.

    Lumber Jack pellets at Dick's

My only local supply for Lumberjack pellets is Dick's and I refuse to shop there. I am running out of pellets and I really don't want to make another bulk order. Tractor Supply has Bear Mountain pellets locally for a good price, does anyone have any first had experience with them. I have read...

    Mixing pellets?

I use Lumber Jack exclusively in my Timberline. I used to do my own mixes but I like the Competition blend well enough, I have just been using that lately. There is nothing wrong with making your own blends, it's just a little time consuming.

They made me an offer I couldn't refuse.....

Congrats! It doesn't matter what color it is, it will cook the same, great deal.

    Not many ceramics it seems?

I have cooked on my Big Joe in 0° temps, snow and rain. I have just finished a cook and had it start freezing rain. I have never had any problem with thermal shock, I really don't think you have to worry about this. A ceramic grill is really a lifetime investment and once you get over the price...

    Not many ceramics it seems?

I would recommend checking out the Kamado Joe lineup before you make your decision. I have had my Big Joe for many years now and I really like it, there isn't anything you can't cook on a Kamado.. The main thing to think about when buying a ceramic grill is the warranty. Ceramics can crack from...
