    Where to purchase a WSM?

I'm looking to purchase a 18.5" WSM. The best prices I have seen are at HomeEverything.com ($237.71) and DrugStore.com ($249.99). Has anyone done business with either of these sites? Ok? Other options?

    Is this smoker worth $100?

As several of you know, I am new to smoking and am in search of a smoker. I had about decided to get an 18.5" WSM. However, I found an offset smoker on craigslist: http://tricities.craigslist.org/gms/1624736807.html He claims the person he bought it from paid $1200. It is 16" by 36-40"...

    Howdy from Tennessee

Welcome to another Vol. I am also new to smoking and have learned a lot here here during the past month. I have about decided to get a Weber Smokey Mountain (WSM). It should just about be within your budget. From what I have read, this charcoal smoker holds temperature very well. Anyway, just...

    WSM - 18.5 vs 22.5

I am considering purchasing a WSM. Don't know which size to get; 18.5 or 22.5 inch. How much can each one hold (butts, ribs, chickens, etc.)? Does the 22.5 use a lot more fuel? What do you recommend?

    Lang Smokers

I am new to smoking and have been investigating smokers on this site and others. From what I have read, many people consider the Lang smoker to be one of the best. What are the characteristics, properties, design elements, etc. that make the Lang so good? Even though Lang is out of my price...

Help me select my first smoker

Thank you all for your advise and suggestions. I am going to look further at some of the heavy duty (1/4 inch) smokers. It seems like Lang is the Rolls Royce of smokers, it is out of my price range. However, I will look at Horizon next weekend at Bass Pro Shop in Cincinnati. I will probably...

Help me select my first smoker

I am new to smoking and am trying to determine what smoker to purchase. I have investigated many web sites during the past few weeks; this is what I have thus far. I think I want an offset firebox smoker; not too big, not too small. It should be large enough for 2-3 butts and/or several racks...
