doing this one as we speak will also start probing around 185. Using a master built electric, I don't have an injector yet so I spray with apple juice every couple hours! Plenty of rubs recipes on this site to use good luck
Gonna smoke a pork ternderloin, using an electric masterbuilt smoker. Its a 5.31lbs how long & temp. Have some wine soaked merlot oak chips and mesq or hickory which would be better :grilling_smilie:

I got mine through QVC and soo far i love it. I also own a charcoal smoker which great as well. Just did a 12 hr smoke on my MES and it was amazing and easy. Could cut it with a butter knife.
Just bought some oak wine barrel wood chips merlot and cabernet which i heard about on a podcast. Anyone have and ideas on what to use them on, types of meats etc? Also got some oak wiskey barrel chips as well:yahoo:

Got a 6 lb beef brisket using a masterbuilt electric smoker looking for any tips tricks etc...which wood chips would you use? I got hickory, mesquite, whiskey soaked and also got some merlot wine barrel chips....how long and do i use a water pan:grilling_smilie:
Yeah i got a recipe that had me marinate it in coca cola with a couple cloves of garlic and pickling spices for 3 hrs. Then smoke it in the cover pan for4 hrs. Over a water pan with pickling spices & garlic, and uncover the last hour of smoking.
Came out tastey, would make for a nice deli...
I put them on the grate, but i suppose a tray would work well too. I cooked most on the middle rack and the came out well, but the ones on the upper racks got too done.

I just found this wonderful site myself, i too have the brinkman vertical smoker and just got an electric masterbuilt smoker, which has a learning curve. I love to smoke and recently my nieghbor bought a smoker from smelling it blow over the fence! Enjoy

Wings came out pretty good, but i think i left them in a little too long. Getting adjusted to a electric smoker has a bit of a learning curve. Any tips would be welcome
