I'm still tweaking my own rub receipes, so yeah, you can stop giving me rub recipes. I've even gotten down the spare ribs method of choice, so no more tips needed there it either. Not saying that I'm not appreciative for your past assistance but when you fall in the July challenge, it will be...
I have begun taking pictures, but will have to do some editing before posting the Q-view tomorrow. I've got to be a little secretive on the ribs though as my brother will learn my latest rub recipe and our challenge in July will be compromised. I will surely post the butt pictures though. ...
Grilled up some wonderful ribeyes tonight.
How I cooked them:
1) Unpackaged them and allowed them to sit out on the counter while I fired up the chimney full of Kingsford Mesquite charcoal.
2) Spread Extra Virgin Olive Oil on both sides of each of the ribeyes.
3) Sprinkled Weber Chicago...
Yay! I got the Maverick ET-732 that so many have raved about and wouldn't you know it, there is a weekend coming up?
I will definitely be putting this to the test. Thinking of smoking a butt and spare ribs this weekend. I have the sibling rib challenge coming up in July, so my question to...
How long do you marinate your veggies? How did you cook them? (Indirect heat) What temps? I haven't done veggies yet but want to give it a try. Was thinking I would just use a rack but not sure of what to marinate them in. Suggestions? Thanks.
Nope...I used Kingsford Hickory Briquettes. Like I said, I haven't cooked on charcoal in a long time, but just finished my first 20 lb. bag in a weeks time. I plan on trying some different fuel types soon. It's all new to me, but it's all good eats so far.
My wife's Mother's Day request was steaks on the grill. I haven't cooked steaks on charcoal in a long time but was anxious to do so.
I purchased some beautiful 1 inch Strips at Publix and while shopping I found that Publix also carries some Weber seasonings that I have never come across...
I'm also new to smoking and have found this site to be filled with the "How to's". Take time to look around the forums. You can always post a question and these people will quickly respond.
Okay...75 minutes at a constant 250 degrees. I'm impressed with the One-touch Gold's ability to maintain a constant temp throughout. I did use the minion method, so perhaps that is why.
Now for some Q-view:
I really need to learn how to cut these things. I did pull off the membrane but...
I just picked up my first charcoal grill in over 20 years. After doing some research, I chose the Weber One-Touch Gold 22 1/2" model. I'm stoked! I put it together in about 15 minutes and already have the ribs on and smoke billowing from the vents. Awe, that wonderful aroma. Q-view will...
Glad you love your Weber. I really read up on them before purchasing it. So many great reviews that I've already declared this to be my last grill as I will just replace the parts. I still plan on a smoker though, maybe even try building a UDS but that is a little while away. Got to get one...
I just picked up my frist charcoal grill in over 20 years. After doing some research, I chose the Weber One-Touch Gold 22 1/2" model. I'm stoked! I just put it together and it took about 15 minutes. Got my ribs out of the fridge and will soon be starting up some charcoal on my new Weber...
I think NOT!!! Please review the thread Title given me by you. ("Grill Challenged" Newbie). I believe ribs will be more than enough for the family to enjoy. I will be smoking 2nd attempt this weekend to perfect my rub. I'll give a Q-view, but the ingredients will be kept confidential for...
