Haha. I'm a little young to remember the good ol days of the mills (I'm 30) but the mills are deep in my family. 3 uncles who grew up in Braddock and worked at ET, dad worked at heckenstall until it closed and I even did a 6 month run working at Edgar Thomson in plant protection a few years ago
Made the last night. Awesome recipe. Did one batch last night with regular sausage and one today with maple wild boar sausage. Both turned out fantastic

Yeah I'm a huge baseball fan and die hard pirate fan. It hurt to lose to St. Louis but they had a hell of a season. The city came alive for that wild card game and 1st round. No one was even paying attention to the steelers that week
Definitely hooked! Yeah the smoke was a little thick in a few of those pics. I think it was because the top was off or just put back on and the coals got a rush of air to them that made it flare up. Most of the time the smoke was looking like this:

Turned out amazing. Tried new rub recipe that has a nice bite to it. Can't wait to start the smoker up again. Gotta decide between pork butt or brisket
