Hey all, I finally broke down and ordered the ET-732 about ten minutes ago from Todd. I have a couple leave in thermos already but want this one to be able to remotely monitor my smoker temp as well. My main question is what is the best way to mount the smoker temp probe? I know not to lay it...
I love the KISS principle, it really makes things easier to just remind yourself of it and go from there. I did add a baffle to my smoker since I built it, at first I left it open after I saw some UDS builders did, but I was getting medium well on the bottom and rare on the top of my roast...
I made a vertical smoker out of a 60gal air tank over the winter. I didnt make any kind of firebox, just used the bottom of the tank. It has worked very well for me so far and holds temp like no other(even in 25degree weather with a breeze) I made it very simple to minimize any leakage and dont...
Pretty much any thermometer that comes with any smoker is going to be off unfortunately at least in the sub $500 range and possibly the pricier ones too. It really is ridiculous that they can be so far off. Just get yourself a reliable thermometer(the maverick is a good choice) and calibrate it...
Hello, glad you enjoy the forum! I have an SnP and I think either that or the CGP will be about the same. Both are built about the same with similar guage metal, and yes modifications will be necessary. I would advise to go the cheaper route, because the first one will be the one to learn...

I would recommend using the search bar and search for "ECB" or "smoke'n grill", either one should get you right where you need to be. There are some highly recommended modifications to make this smoker easier to use. Also, If you ever can spare the $, the weber smokey mountain(known as the WSM...
I'll see what I can pull off this weekend. We're supposed to go out of town, and I took an extra day off so I could smoke us some snackage for the trip(and just bc I can). I'll see if I can squeeze that in as well. The ol' lady is 35 weeks along and a little uhhh.... at this point...but I love...
Im intrigued, personally I've always avoided marinating or injecting worcestershire because of the vinegar content(I was told it can do funny things to meat a long time ago and just never took a chance with it). If I'm going to use it I always add it right before cooking, bc I do love the...
