All of the Home Depots in this area are selling these for $199. They are a discontinued model and last year they were selling for $399. Seems like a good unit since I'll mainly be cooking for just two of us.

Critterhunter - If looking for answers to your question regarding smoke, you should probably start your own thread rather than hi-jack this one. I don't have an answer but think smoking at 190 might be a little low. And I'm not sure what cb refers to...

I have the ET-7 and I always use the 2nd probe for rack temperature. My other one is an oregon which does not go above 199, so is basically worthless for rack temps. I hope to soon purchase the ET-73.
