I was at SAM's tonight and they had one of their MES smokers on the returned rack for $198.00 It had a note on it that smoke smoke leaked out of one side. Are they supposed to be sealed pretty tightly? I don't know what their regular price is on these things... but that seemed like a lot for a...- mofo

Smoker wind break
Has anyone built and have pictures of, a portable windbreak for their smoker? I need to build one for my GOSM and was looking for ideas. It can get pretty blustery here in Kansas this time of year... I put two 9 lb turkey breasts on the smoker at 12:30 today. Keep pretty steady at around 240. Real windy here and that's all the higher I could get the big block to go. 1 hit 175 about 29 minutes ago and the other is around 155 right now. They were side by side on the top rack in the smoker. I want a Big Block GOSM, but where to find?
Critterhunter - If looking for answers to your question regarding smoke, you should probably start your own thread rather than hi-jack this one. How do you clean your grates?

?? Et-7, Et-73 ??
I have the ET-7 and I always use the 2nd probe for rack temperature. My other one is an oregon which does not go above 199, so is basically worthless for rack temps. I hope to soon purchase the ET-73.- mofo
