there aint no law around here
Figures we get a pic f the done end,,, not the good end....
Get him Jerry,,, 16 lb,,,, Jesh,,,,, LOL it was impresive.. And for the record there was about 1 inch on either end of the rib,, so not sure 17lb would fit...
Wow fellas,,,, Almost the best prime rib ever. Jerrys is still better.
The PR was awsome. the thinner end covered the folks that wanted it more done (yuck) and the rest was about medium. Funniest thing is after the work it took, Rick and I took an end each and were thrilled.
Probably 4lb left...
LOL Never send Rick for meat a 10lb chunck turned into A 16 hunk of meat,,, but I am betting nobody is gonna go hungry...
9.8 lb Brisket just got wrapped and tossed back inot the smoker....
Awfully nice having the rodent around.....
Really the only thing that is missing from the last time we...
They have those at the site I work at. I dont know anything about them but I know the ribs at the resteraunt there are pathetic. No flavor what so ever.
Well as it turned out I didnt cook a thing,,
Took the manifold off of the jeep and found bolt broke off inside the head,,, so I am trying to decide wether to try and drill around a corner or to take the head off :(
I have done it both ways.
My experiece is that without wraping the edges do seem to dry out even with a good hourly spritz. With wraping it was much juicier. Downside is the bark is not as nice as without wraping.
Regardless I like brisket either way..
Jeff
"daddys stuff"
I like that...
looks good. Our conversation tonight inspired me to cook some chicken in the smoker tomorow.. I am thinking lemon peppered..
I do buy some of their stuff but stay away from harbor freight "zip disks" IE cutoff wheels. I have had several of the 4.5 disks explode. Got a nice scar on the inside of one hand where I had to remove a piece of one.
The brand I have is common but I cant remember the name. I buy them in a 200...
That was funny Pops,,, I have actually seen stuff like that happen.
Regardless, I have people tell me all the time, brisket is tough and fatty, ribs are rubbery and ya gotta put alot of sauce on them, pulled pork comes out of a tub not a pork butt...
And we all know done properly none of that...
