between the 2 I’d go with inkbird. I have several ThermoWorks units and love them. I recently won an inkbird on this site and have been trying it out and have been impressed with it.
Got a 8lb 6 bone rack of beef ribs at the butcher. I cut them into 2 pieces seasoned with meat church’s holy cow and put them on the bull at 225 till they hit 165. I wrapped in butcher paper till they were probe tender about 205. Wrapped in towel and put in cooler for an hour. They were fantastic.
Dont be gun shy of pellet smokers, the GMG Daniel Boone i had along with the Traeger cant even come close to comparing a higher end brand like Rec Tec, Yoder, Gorilla Grill or Memphis. I have a rec tec bull and it was worth every penny. It runs consistent temp unlike the GMG and Traeger which...

This was my first attempt at corning my own brisket and I was very happy with it maybe just a tad to much pepper but overall very happy with it. I used the americas test kitchen recipe for brining and amazingribs recipe for the rub.

Don’t have any experience with Camp Chef but have heard good things about them. I have a Rec Tec and it’s leaps and bounds better than the traeger and GMG I had before it.
Hey guys. I am looking for a small electric smoker that I can use for smoking cheese and when I make my own sausage. I have a Rec Tec Bull but it only goes down to 180 in temp. I was looking for a unit that will smoke at lower temps than that. Any suggestions? I’m looking to spend around 200 or...
The Rec tec is worth it in the long run. It has unbelievable customer service and warranty. I have the bull and it’s night and day better than the traeger and the GMG Daniel Boone I had before it.
I usually pay about $9 for lumberjack at rural king and about $20 for bbq delight at local outdoor furniture store. I’ve tried pitboss and traeger and wasn’t happy with there flavor or the amount of ash they put out. Since finding lumberjack I’ve used them exclusively. I might be mistaken but I...
