    275 gallon build

Well If you want a true wood fired smoker I would go with a reverse flow. I just finished mine and it works good. If you want a gas burner and a smoke box I have done a lot of those. Gas smoker is easier to build and I see any difference in the flavor or the way they cook. However they don't...

RF Build just wanted to share

Thanks : The Rod underneath the doors is a lock I will take another pic to show it better it just goes through some plates and a hitch clip keeps it in place. As far as the paint I put 4 coats and used Sheffields Pot Belly Stove Paint. I have used it for years and has always held up well.

Reverse Flow Offset Smoker Build Questions

I would use it and reinforce it whether its one or two doors. Its pretty long and I would bet either way you could get a sag around the doors if you don't get some kind of reinforcement. Look forward to watching the work

Looks great like to know how that turns out. I had wanted to try that as well and got on here last year a lot of people on here had great arguments for sticking with a RF so I did. Would love to hear about the difference.

Ready to build my smoker. Is reverse flow the best choice? ALL OPINIONS WELCOME

I am building a reverse flow smoker too. From what everyone on here has explained to me and from what I gathered from  looking around on here the reverse flow fire box needs a certain amount of air flow to properly heat the cook chamber and draft  right. I think from what I have learned is as...
