My first RF build. 80 gallon air tank.

I centered it between the 2 planned grates. I may cut it bigger and do that though. Good looking smoker

My first RF build. 80 gallon air tank.

Will have 744sqin of cooking grate on lower rack. Haven't decided on placement of top rack yet. I have a plenum design in mind for my exhaust stack and have to figure out how the air will flow through before deciding where that rack should go.

My first RF build. 80 gallon air tank.

No joke. Some of these guys blow me away with their CAD drawings. I wish I knew how to do that. All my drawings are in my head. Hopefully this will be done before summer or at least my bday in august. I will continue updating as it goes along.

New 120 Gallon Build and Grate Question

How do you feel about the plenum? Did it improve the heat on the FB corners of the cooking grate? I work in HVAC and am planning on a plenum that's about 18"w x 3-4"t that reduces to my 6" stack. By HVAC standards that would improve overall flow across the grate.

Sold my welder years ago when I left the industry. Swore to never touch another one. But now I'm fed up with store bought garbage and don't want to fork out $4k so looks like I'll be borrowing or buying another welder. I think I'll enjoy it more this go round.
