    Smoked a roast

    I smoked a roast over the weekend on the gas grill. It was just under 3 lbs, and I smoked it for about 4 1/2 hrs. Till I got an IT of about 150F. Just used a bunch of spices I had for a rub, a little of this and a little of that. It came out very nice. SLice beautifully and tasted great...

    Looking to buy a propane smoker.

    Hi folks, I'm looking to buy a propane smoker, but the reviews, etc. have my head swimming. This is the one I'm leaning toward, mainly because of the drawers for wood and water and the brass burner which should last a long time.    Anyways, I'm looking for pros and cons on it, recommendations...

    First rib smoking!

    On Sunday, the 8/31, I smoked 3 rack of ribs on my gas grill. They ended up coming out pretty well, but all in all it was a PITA. Trouble getting smoke going, trouble controlling the temp., you name it, I had trouble with it. But in the end they tasted pretty darned good and everyone loved them...
