    Thanks for all the information everyone. Hopefully on Sunday I can start the cleaning process, it's been a wet dreary Texas over the past couple days and tomorrow we have a softball tournament in Mt. Pleasant... so hopefully barring any more issues I can do this Sunday and re-season her over...

    If you have a tough time finding barrels in your area, hit up a feed store. Atleast in my neck of the woods they have them, dirt cheap and food grade.

    I would second this opinion. Wrapped in a blanket and placed in a cooler it will hold temp for a good long time. I do this on butts and they hold great temp for a long time and don't lose any moisture.
