i use small wood pieces in smoker box. vent less than half open. smokes 1hr 1hr30 then reload. smoked 2 briskets 8 pm to 12noon. had to keep up with loading. it smokes well, how ever i am geting to old to pull allnighters. so my question is how do these smoke boxes work in a mes. and what is the...

just smoked 1ST time in the 40 window mes. have to say did 3 racks of baby's easy, slow, good. there is a learning curve here. ran 230 degrees for 4 hours. last 2 coverd foil. next 1hr 275 to brown crust up. 20 more to sauce up. everyone said they where off the chain. a lot of posts about...
this looks like a great addition to my arsenal of cook'in stuff. can't have to much stuff. what i was asking for was any info to help with the learning curve. having 4 you would know better than anyone. being newbie with a weapon never fired the laughs on me.
it's harder for me to use this computer. want to say this seems to be a great knowlege base willing to help someone get started. been bbq anything and all things 40 years. but never used a smoker. so any tips from anyone that may have this type of smoker would be great.
