Made my first pizza since I had to leave the restaurant industry. The kid was amazed when I tossed the dough in the air to stretch it out. He told me I was like a chef. 😂
If he only knew how much time I’ve spent I a kitchen. I broke in the new pizza stone on the Masterbuilt. Pizza was cooked...
I looked on line to find out more about this brand when it was on sale the other week. My google skills must be lacking because I couldn’t find out anything aside from the price and the fact Aldi’s sells it. I’d be interested to know how it performs.
Wrapped some pork tenderloin in bacon. Smoked for a little over an hour at 250. When internal temp hit 140 I upped the temp to 500 to crisp up the bacon. I thought it was ok but the wife and 4 year old loved it. He’s back on his fifth serving. Most nights we’re doing well just to get him to try...
I know there will be differing opinions. When I’m just doing a side for dinner I don’t brine. I just rub it with whatever flavor I’m going with and cook until about medium rare / medium.
Original is what I usually run. I wonder if filling the bottom with lump or mixing some in might keep it from getting clogged? Smaller ash or less uniformity in the fill. The downside is less time before needing roped off.
Glad it worked for you. That’s some good looking food. I haven’t ran into that issue with my 560 but it still has the old style grate. I wonder if it will happen with the new one when I replace. What charcoal were you running?
Got delayed a little this morning. The wife had to work until 2am this morning and had to get up at 7 and work at it again until noon. I decided her resting might be more important than doing pizza for lunch. We just snacked and threw on the roast and corn in the afternoon. I had my assistant...
There should be something with the serial and model number on it for warranty purposes. If you find that number it should get you in the right ballpark.
Looks great. I’ve only tried smoking lamb once and wasn’t as pleased with it as from the oven. It’s the only meat I’ve found that way. I might have to give it a second try.
Switch to a Masterbuilt gravity series. 😁 But seriously if you’ve spent that much and only had it for a little while I would contact the manufacturer. How they respond and help you will tell you all you need to know about them as a company. Even if you are out of warranty if all they can tell...
I love just grilling it and using the husk as a handle. It tastes great and I don’t have to do the work of removing the husk. I usual just leave all the fixings next to the corn. Butter, salt, pepper, old bay, parm cheese. Let the people fix it as they want. That said your street corn looks...
If I was using the two grills that’s totally how I’d do it. I might give it a try smoking. Worst case I’m out $2.20 for a couple ears of corn. I can cook the asparagus as well. If it comes out great I’m sure we will have no problem making all the food disappear. If it comes out less than I...
