    Thanks solaryellow! I figured that would be the case but I am trying to make sure that all my dimensions are as accurate as possible. I guess that's the engineer in me haha.

    I'm finishing up my design on a RF build using a 28" x 82" propane tank. My firebox will be on the end of the cook chamber.  I'm planning on designing the firebox so that the wood sits on a grate that's 4" above the bottom of the firebox which will allow the ashes to fall into a removable...

    Looks good! I am about to start a build very similar to yours, thanks for the good ideas. How large of a gap did you leave at the end of your RF baffle?  Did you decide to go with the charcoal tray?  I considered that myself.  That A on your smoker will make the meat taste funny haha.

    Awesome looking smoker!  I've been looking for different ideas on how to tweek my rf design and you have been a big help.  I've read every post on this thread and it's the reason I joined SMF.  Thanks for all the good ideas.
