If you had to make a decision on having only one smoker, which one would you chose. Electric, gas, off-set Weber etc. Which brand and style would you chose?
Everytime I look a beef ribs here, they are all bone and no meat. I buy beef short ribs and cook them with my BBR's in a 2-2-1 method. Lots of meat and really tastey
Every smoker that I have ever seen has a vent toallow the smoke to escape. I googled your "smoker" and came up empty. Somehow you need to get a smoke vent on this "cooker".
I buy a cross rib chuck roast. If it is not tied up. I will do it. I put it on my rotisserie spit in the Charmglow with the infra-red burner. Slice it up the next day on thesliceranditis better than deli roast beef for 1/3 the price.
Any recipe that calls for liquid smoke should be deleted, buried and incinerated. We are who we are because of the way we cook. This is not McDonalds with McRibs .My smoked flavor comes from this beautiful wisps of blue smoke from my wood of choice. As long as you never refer to liquid smoke...

Go to your local store and pick a Weber or like charcoal starter. 2 pieces of newspaper and you are good to go, unless you like putting petroleum products in your food and body.
O'k I'll admit I am a knife junkie. I have some great German kinves, I have Forschners that I love and I just bought 4 knives from Thailand that are super sharp. So this is what I do, I went to Harbor Freight and bought 3 magnetic tool holders. I mounted them under the kitchen cabinets so that I...
The cross section of people on this forum is amazing. So I started to think about how and why we started this obsession. I started dabbling with smoking about 10 years ago when I went to Wallyworld and found a cast iron box and chips. I played with it off and on for years, but was never...
Since I'm retired, I have lots of time on my hands so I pop in and out all day long. My family hassled me about getting a hobby to take up my time, so I decided smoking was it. Now I do the work and they benefit.
