Put in oven set at 200, and went to bed! got up the next morning... turned up oven to bring to 205... then ice chest...

MSN Article on 100's of BBQ Sauce Recipies

interesting to say the least, not sure about the white myself, but if offered I would at least try it. Anything chipotle, whether the cherry glaze, or the maple, now that is worth a try Thanks for sharing that dude, maybe someday i will try it and become a closet white BBQ sauce user, lol...

    Smoke Pistol

I have researched both, and am going with the smoke daddy. I don't like the idea of having to use cartridges that can only be gotten from the manufacturer, and whatever cost they want to charge. I was ready to order it, but after reading several post, going to hold off until I have extra money...

Thanks again for the info and leg work John. As of now mine is still heating, but the last couple of times I have used it, seems like the temps were so low for a long long period of time. I am wondering if it might be ready to go... Mine is the old version apparently cuz the treads on the front...

    Hunka Cured Smoked Pork

Awesome looking Jeanie. Just curious, what are the benefits to curing for such a short time to the end product? I remember while stationed in Germany them doing the same thing to pork chops, at least that is what I was told while at the restaurant, after doing a search online and if memory...

Has anyone else heard about this?

I have never used the trade in to get a full tank. Everytime I have seen them the cost seemed to so HIGH! Now to read this and see they are shorting the customer the amount of propane, which means they need to trade in more often, hmmmmmm I always go to a propane bulk supplier and have my tank...

    Good Rub!

The rub is good as is, I always make a double batch. You can also doctor it up more to your liking if you want. The best part about the recipe from Tulsa Jeff is it helps support this forum. Sounds like a Win-Win to me! Matt aka Rocky

Dehydrated apple powder in Rib Rub?

I have made dried apple powder before, it is good. I have been dehydrating for almost 30 years, and over dried apples many time ;) If you can find freeze dried apples, or other fruits freeze dried it powders easier. If you like Cinnamon toast, try it with apple powder mixed in with the...

    Pork Shoulder on a Monday

Looking good. No matter how, it will come out good, I have done it both ways. I prefer to take the skin off so more smoke can caress the meat, also have removed some of the fat, and scored it (the remaining fat cap). But that is me, I am sure it will be pleasing no matter what. enjoy your...

blow-by-blow account of frst solo brisket on the SnP - q-view will be posted!

Rivet thanks for the "finishing sauce" recipe, looks and sounds good. I will try it in a couple of weeks, but am going to do one modification... Eliminate the water and use 1 cup whiskey. Actually I will taste it before adding and decide water or whiskey at that moment. Will let everyone know...
