Ihhand I have often thought the same about this topic, speaking of wild cherry but everyone says it is safe too. I havent tried any wild but i sure love the fruit cherry... just my two cents..- gobbledot

Sandman I bought some off ebay from vamtnwoodproducts and it has been great. I got Apple and he had reasonable shipping rates. He had a good varity of different woods. If ya cant find him I'll try to get ya phone number and ya can call and talk to him..- gobbledot

losing to much juice
Bigg those juices is normal, use them in your finishing sauce or flavor a good pot of green beans with it ... I put whay i have left in a cup and place in frig for later use. If I have any left over (normaly I dont) I take some out of the frig and put iit in the bottom of a vaccumn seal bag and... -

Great lookin job H. Maybe you want to use a different wood if the one you are using is tooooo smokey (strong). I am guessing you used hickory or mesquite. I use apple and cherry all the time, I use to have the same problem and also TBS is the ticket. Just my 2 coppers... -
