Can someone tell me if Texas style ribs are the same as spare ribs? Our local grocery store has them for $1.98/lb. I have not seen them yet just the add and I was wondering if they were the same.

Meow is there a rum taste on the meat when done? I am not a drinker (maybe I ought to start. ha ha ha) and dont know what it would be like or does it just give a good reaction with the sugar in the juice when added to the meat? Thanks..
Yea we do too, my dad does the hunting now and usually he ends up with two or three, I help him process it and there is no fat or membrane left on the meat that goes in the freezer. I am just going to have to try it again and see if I can make my own recipeeee to fixing it (smoking)...

My favorite way is to grind it and make jerky out of it... he he he I have had it cooked about every way possible and have never found a way venison taste good to me other than jerky. But you know you can take about anything that is not good and make it great by jerkying it.. lol I would luv...
Trav thanks for the post, it is easy to do when we are in a hurry. Alot of times we dont think something like that would happen to us especially in a smoker (low temps), but it could happen to anyone of us. I always clean mine after I get done with a smoke and that was it is ready to fire up...
LOL I was wondering the same thing.. I have looked at the papers that came with mine and didnt see a way to rest it other than run it all the way out the top and let it start all over again.. That is the only down fall I have with the ET-73....
