simple answer no! smoke as usual. only time ya have a prob is if ya overload the grate,and block airflow, then ya cant maintain temps, so you gotta go longer...actually i'd bust them puppies down to 5lbers n cook em in 8 hrs
maverick et-73 dual probe, bout the best out there..has one probe for your meat, and one for smoker temp. remote works pretty dang good within its 100' range. definately recomended
that actually looks like an old brinkman. my cousin has one from around 75-78 looks much like that, same color paint too.. if thats what it is, its a gem in the rough

ya need to run that top vent wide open, in fact take the damper off and put a rain hood on it. are ya buildin the fire right on the sidebox grate, or in a charcoal basket? the ash from the first kingsford chimney full may be choking the lump. just a few thoughts
