My needle valves came today in the mail.....they shipped Tues....not bad. So now it's off to the hardware store tonight or first thing in the AM to try and find the adapters to install one on my GOSM. I'll post before and after burner pics when I'm finished adding it!!! Was just at my local Ace...
My grinder/stuffer came with what is called a "KUBBE" attachment....I have never used it, but it is for making sausage type lengths with a hole all thru the center.....don't know if they are used with casings or not.....I had never heard of them until I bought the grinder......!

Have thought about buying one of the new MES....now I am starting to have my doubts after reading many post about problems with them....is this just a small percentage of the units that are bad.??? No matter how good MES warranty is and how good the people are....not having to use the warranty...

To all you folks that have bought those electric hot plates from Walmart......most are rated I believe at 1000 watts....but they will never produce that with a pan setting on them....the internal thermostat (bi-metal strip type) is responding to the temp. inside of the unit and will cycle...
My GOSM is only on its' second season and I'm sure not used much up until this time as much as yours....I was able to just use a cue tip soaked in alchohol to clean the air screens, they were not that dirty......

I appreciate the mods for some folks...but I never have found opening the smoker door to my GOSM whether to add chips or water a problem. The heat recovery is so very fast, that has never been an issue even in cold weather....if that is the only benefit from the mods.........Rick
