    Hello from Northern Virginia

Glad to have you with us.  I wish I could help you on making a smoker but I can't.  If you look around I am sure there are some threads somewhere on here.  I am also pretty sure it will be just a matter of time before someone jumps in and can help.  I am in Richmond.  What part of VA you in? ...

What were you doing in Mexico?  What brought you to Richmond?  I have only been here since July of last year.  We will have to get together sometime.

I love mine!  The only downside is rain and you can't enter competitions with them.

Last week I smoked some wings and sauced them up and threw them on the grill to char a bit.  Damn they were good and just fell off the bone...  Thanks on the brisket.  We will have to plan something in a month or so and all of us get together cook some food and drink some beer.

The juiciest brisket ever Q View!

I will check it out.  How are their prices on regular meats?  Can you get good beef ribs there?  Thanks for the recommendation.

The juiciest brisket ever Q View!

Where did you get the brisket?  I hope it is not a corned beef brisket because it will not be like a packer.  The smallest I can find are always 12 -15 pounds.  I am going to check around and find a butcher shop that carries a wagyu brisket.  They are expensive but from what I hear they are out...

    BBQ Sauce

The sauce was damn good!  I am very impressed with myself on this one.  It could be a little thicker but all in all real good.  It has a good spice to it with a little heat(my kids eat it)  and then it has a great smokey sweet side as well.  $5.00 a bottle boys!

Just finished stuffing my face with this awesome thing.  I rubbed it down with Mustard, black pepper, garlic, rosemary, and old bay seasoning after I gave it a good trimmimg.  I let it set in the fridge for around 36 hours and pulled it out and added some worcestershire sauce on it and threw...

A lot of Richmond smokers!  Sweet!  We are going to have to get a smoke off some time for bragging rights!  I actually just finished smoking a brisket and it is resting now.  I am going to post a Q view in a bit.  That dude is looking nice and I can't wait to cut into it.  Started it at 11 last...

I figure about an hour to an hour and a half per pound and cook at 225.  Now that is not perfect science so after 6-8 hours start watching internal hard.  As for rub, I keep mine simple,  mustard then some salt, pepper, garlic, and a good creole seasoning like Tony's.  The link listed above had...
