That was kind of my plan. To use planks or something, then rip some narrow strips to screw on over the vertical boards. I will get a stainless drip pan made at work. very nice smoker by the way.
Here it is after 11 1/2 hours of smoke. My poor little smoker worked it's butt off today. The warmest it got here today was -4.
Got a little color, but had decent smoke all day.
I want to build a smoker/smokehouse in my back yard next summer. What are any concerns over plywood vs lumber. I had an idea to build out of plywood and insulating it for year round use. Does the glue in plywood pose any risks? Similar design to this is my goal.

Yes this thing is a massive beast. Not sure on where I am going to store it yet.The blade and stones appear to be in good shape. The sharpening stones are there and not broken or chipped, but I haven't used them yet.

I bought a little Della 8.7 inch slicer and used it a couple times. I was not at all pleased with the way it worked and sold it to a co worker. I made him aware of the reason I didn't want it, but he said this slicer was better than none. Both of us happy.
