The water pan is only 3 or 4 inches above where the chip box sits. With the chip box in place it won't fit. Can the amnps not be placed so close to the heat source?
Hey everyone. I am interested in the AMNPS. I have a master forge vertical smoker. There is a cylindrical cover over the burner with 3 slots that allows heat through the top, where the chip box sits, and slots around the sides. Can I sit the amnps in the same place as the chip box?
Open up the filet skin down on the grate at 230 deg.with oak chips and put a glob of butter and a little sprinkle of lemon pepper and sea salt and smoke em. They're small in jersey (out of any waters I'd eat them from anyway) so they don't take long. When it slides off the bone I take em out.
Never brined a turkey at all. I've deep fried many, and never thought it needed it, but I feel from the smoker it will help. Mule, 300 to 325 the whole way? Does brining a deep fried turkey help? Most of the ones I did were outstanding without it..
