Here is a spicy rub recipe I have
1/2 cup salt
1/2 cup turbinado sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 T of garlic powder
1 T of onion powder
2 T of paprika
3 T of chili powder
2 T of black pepper
1 1/2 T cayenne
1 T dry thyme
1 T of cumin
1 t of nutmeg
This is a great topic. Even though summer is just about over up here in the Puget Sound. I'm looking forward to trying some BBQ this style for a change of pace.

That's a little more than twice as much than I pay. I thought it would only be a couple dollars more per lb. Now I see why its not commonly available.

It's a good change of pace from tomato and mustard sauces.
From what I read Big Bob Gibson didn't keep his white sauce recipe a secret. That is why it's so easy to find. But I've heard the recipe has been tweaked over the years at his BBQ restaurant.

It's been a while since I've done a full rack of spareribs like that. Usually get the St. Louis as they take less time and cost less since they don't weight as much.
I've read a few posts on here now about salt and peppered ribs. So I'll have to give them a try one of these...
