    Confused???

It's not a good idea to use galvinzed metal, I've been told when it gets hot it releases some nasties. I've always played it safe and bought big sheet pans and cut them up and used them in my smoker.

pork mayo'd rub - can it be done?

Mayo is mostly oil and eggs so it should work fine, personally I've only used Mayo on Salmon, but I don't see why you couldn't use it on pork.

It's hump day, what say you??

I'm doing a Tri-Tip Sunday (picking it up today) and I'm going to smoke a bunch of onions, peppers and mushrooms, and some corn on the cob. I thought hump day was Wednesday?

    Couple of Butts - Q-view!

I was saying to myself you should make a breakfast pork omelet, then I saw your last sentence. Those butts look awesome, and it's good to hear that your smoke generator is working, must be nice to be able to sleep at night.

took the day off for this

I would remove the ribs from the smoker then apply the glaze in your kitchen and put the ribs under the oven broiler until they start to carmelize, don't take your eyes off of them because they can burn quickly. I've used just about anything you can think for a glaze,(honey, bbq sauce, jellies...

    Mr Gasoline BBQ Starter

Charcoal lighter fluid is okay to start a fire but gasoline is for internal conbustion engines and cleaning greasy hands. :) I've seen how lighter fluid is used to seat tire beads on wheels before, it's pretty crazy but works.

    Last supper for the neighbors.....

Glad to hear you got your power back!! Hopefully your area will be back to normal soon. And how good is your cooking? Well when kids would rather have your smoked chicken than McDonald's I'd say you're doing pretty well.

Vegetarians - love em or hate em, sometimes they're friends

My ex became a vegitarian a few years before we split up. I had nothing agianst her becoming one, and I'd grill portobella mushrooms and lots of vegatables for her. While I liked a lot of the veggies I cooked as a side to my meat dish, I got tired of the preaching about how bad meat was for me...

    9-11 tribute

Dan you have e-mail, but it looks like Richtee took care of it. Great photos, the names really make it hit home. WARNING I'm going on a rant: I get so mad at the conspiracist's saying that the planes that were involved were either remote controlled or a missle. One thing they can't...

Wow, very impressive, you could put that next to the manufactured grills and put them to shame. Now you need to get her a little messy.
