    This stuff played a part in my misspent youth. Tasted bad, seemed to give the worst hangover, and last but not least was known for giving you a condition that rhymes with Blitz. You were young and dumb, it was cheap, and if you were drinking it, most likely you weren't the dummy that paid for it.

    I've got rubber pads on the base of my Hakka, but I think I'll pick up a set of those suction cups. They work pretty well on my slicer. I just use a round pizza pan to coil into.

    Cast Iron Skillet Reccomendation

    I like Lodge. Nowadays, they're not as smooth bottomed as they used to be, and some people sand them down, but I haven't found any reason to do that. I use a 5-inch skillet for eggs, and they slide right out. That one and an 8-inch skillet are my most used, along with 5 and 7 qt Dutch ovens.

    When I was a kid back in the 1800s my mom would cook tongue once in a while. Bout all I can remember is that she would slow simmer it all day with pickling spices, and it was delicious! None of my siblings would touch it, so more for me! Sliced on crackers.

    MYPIN PID TA4 Controller for electric smoker

    DefinitIy need a heat sink while autotuning.I installed a PID in my Smokin-It smoker and just used a couple of bricks and had a soup can full of water in the bottom while running the Autotune. Can't remember why the water, (was in the instructions) but it all worked out great!

    I've got a Smokin-It #1 and the Amazn tray works pretty well for cold smoking. I don't use the drip pan and that helps a little to increase the draft. Probably get more input on the Bella setup on the Smokin-It forum.

    IIRC that mix comes with Maple Cure. Quick look at some of my Owens seasoning instructions show 1 & 3/4 tsp per lb of meat, so that should be right.

    Where do you get sausage casings from

    I got my fibrous casings from Ownes BBQ and I'll be making another order there soon. I like their various sausage mix's so its handy to get both in one shot.
