I'd eat those up for sure
Got to get me a kettle and a vortex soon. So I can do this.
We you say buttermilk and red pepper.
Is that red pepper a chile pepper or just a red bell pepper?
Here is another recipe I found

Chile:
I don't mind if it's not spicy hot. I always have some hot sauce or salsa to heat up my Mexican food. Just looking for a good carne asada marinade that has a lot of good flavor.
I really like a good citrus, garlic, onion profile with other flavors. I guess that is why I like Carne...
Carne Asada is one of my favorites to eat. But never had any luck from the recipe my friend gave me a while back.
So I have to get it from the Mexican market that is a good 2hrs away or at a meat market in town. But the market in town only sells it during the summer.
I'll have to give yours...
I have a venison jerky recipe
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
4 garlic cloves crushed
2 teaspoons ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Per LB of meat
I made up a batch of pork jerky using this as a base and added a few dry spice's, celantro and some lime juice to it.
It turned out pretty good. But a little to fishy. Next time I'll be adding more soy sauce to my recipe.
I agree my BBQ skills have improved by 10x since joining this forum.
Thanks to all the great members here. This is one of my favorite sites. Look forward to checking in just about every day.
Both of these sound great and I look forward to seeing how they turn out.
Im going to have to give that apple/Cajun injection a try one of these days. Been looking for one to use on a turkey breast.
I can get pork loin for just under $3 a lb. But the butchers that sell teriyaki pork jerky are selling it for $20+ a lb. Just as much as their beef jerky at some places.
Now that I have the know how. I figure I can make a good 5 to 6lbs of my own pork jerky for what the butcher stores are...
Thanks for the tip. I always have some of that chili garlic sauce in the refrigerator.
Around here pork loin jerky goes for as much as beef jerky does. To get some that's any good. I had to go to the butcher/meat market. It used to be reasonably priced. But now days they are asking $20+ per...
I have a jerky recipes book and they have jerky recipes using cheese powder. Nacho jerky is what I think the recipe is called.
Looks interesting. But I'm not sure I have ever seen it at the grocery stores I go to. I know I can purchase it on amazon.
Plan on giving pork loin jerky a try next time I do jerky.
So far I have only done beef jerky. Have had pork teriyaki jerky in the past and it's excellent.
So I'm thinking about making it spicy teriyaki by adding a little bit of Siracha along with the teriyaki sauce.
