airflow control design advice, please...Reverse flow offset

I forgot about this beast! Have you got it working better? For startup I would start a fire or coals IN the cook chamber then move/ sweep the coals into the firebox and maintain temp. The suggestions here are good. Like Dave's let the smoker run and exhaust it I to a plenum and use your power...

Slow motion reverse flow 300 gal.

Did you ever get the idea to add dampers to each side of the intake under the RF plate just to be able to fine tune the side to side flow ?

airflow control design advice, please...Reverse flow offset

So just to get this straight, you have two openings from the FB to cook chamber. One underneath some sort of floor or Rf plate the other flows directly into the cooking area? And both of these openings are individually the correct size for flow or only when added together? Personally I can't...

Here is what I am working with

Great idea for using the tank. Huge grill area. My only thought is that the one pipe connecting the FB to CC might create a hot spot under the rf plate and corresponding cold spots in the corners nearest the FB. Could you add more? Or cut the bottom corner off the oil tank and fit the drum...

M7's build thread. Reverse Flow trailer mounted with storage compartments.

Love the look with the service boxes. Like an 80's Chevy work truck! The chain is awesome!! Great idea about using it for hinges. Wish I had some just to mess around with. EDIT: Good lawrd what is that drive train from!??

    Wood consumption.

Ah so it's all lies purpotrated by the stack cooker conglomerate!! So what's your consumption? Vs cooker size?? 10lbs to start? 1 or 2 splits ever two hours? One? Four?

    Wood consumption.

I did find one notation in my reading that RF smokers chew threw more wood to maintain temps then offsets. How much so? I also saw a post on here resently with a photo of their fire box and it being mostly empty other then a couple of small splits and the coment about how little it took to...

    My latest creation....

Looks great! Heck of a build I wanted to ask about the griddle you made, I had the same idea talking with my boss he wants the same thing for at home. Wondering if you have used it stove top like you pictured, and how it preformed hot/cool spots or warpage? Thanks, Dave
