Why no Gifs, Jeff, if they’re small?

Guess I didn't have a problem 'cause I didn't read the instructions. Looks like you got it working. :D I like the animation! 8)

    TailGator Pit

CharGriller now has a hitch adapter kit for their line of smokers. I think the kit cost only $50.

Could wood chunks dried for 1 week be ok to smoke with???

Here are a few of my thoughts on the matter with little or no technical data to back me up . Logs will take longer to dry than splits, splits longer than chunks, chunks longer than chips, and saw dust almost instantly. Fruit woods aren't as strong as nut woods and I've used some while still...

Why no Gifs, Jeff, if they’re small?

What & where are you trying to post? Maybe we can help. The animated smileys that we use are gifs and I just did a test with the cow. PNG's can also be animated and my smoker Avatar is a PNG file type.

    Competition Lessons

Much wisdom in a single post. :D Although I haven't competed, I've been to a few, helped in a few, and judged one ... even went to one with several friends entered and the rain poured down so that some of them were standing in ankle deep running water while competing. Everything you said is...

    Sweet Magnolia

Some mushrooms are good to eat, some are poisonous. Some trees are good to smoke with, some are poisonous like the Bittersweet. Do some research before throwing caution to the wind when using unusual or ornamental trees for smoking wood on food. As for the Magnolia tree, I don't know if it...

    TailGator Pit

Tommy, I do have the pull-behind too, but it's so big and I don't want or need to fire the big one up for smaller cooks. This can go to parks, campsites, tailgating parties and a lot of other places that the big trailer is just not practical. If we grill burgers or dogs at the church I don't...

    TailGator Pit

The stand comes with it. I don't think anyone would want to haul their pit around all the time. I've got to rig something up in the barn like a block & tackle pulley system or something to transfer this puppy from one configuration to another. I'm really "feeling" it today. :lol...

Large smoker made from a 250 gallon propane tank?

veener88 from what I understand old propane tanks make some good smokers but are extremely dangerous to cut into and should only be done by professionals that know what to do. One wrong move and they will explode even after being "empty" for years. Folks that know what they're doing have a much...

    personal recipe book

If I were going to take the time and effort to re-enter all my recipes that I've collected into a database, I'd choose one that was written expressly for recipes because they allow you to calculate nutritional values, print grocery lists, and adjust serving quantites. 8) Some are even available...
