My parents are coming for Turkey week and I plan on doing a roast beef in my MES with hickory. I would like to try a brine as I have never tried one before and I have been reading threads on brining and it sounds good. Anyone have a good brine for sirloin tip roast going to be brined and smoked...
I live about an hour and a half from this plant and they pulled one of the three bodies out this morning. They have found the other 2 and are trying to get to those bodies now. The ammonia is used for cooling in this plant. They have numerous people from local, state and federal level on site now...
I just saw the weekly circular for Lowe's foods and baby backs are 2.49 lb. That is the cheapest I have seen them yet. Get 'em while there hot. Enjoy the thin blue this holiday weekend.
No unfortunatley they send me the black "body kit"(no window). I have to put the temp control box, racks, water pan, wood chip loader, wood chip pan and door from my old one on the new body kit. They have not called me to send the cord and ID plate back so I was wondering if I could keep it in...
Woke up today and went out to the front porch and guess what sitting there???/ A brand new "body kit" from Masterbuilt. I have not sent anything to them as they said it would be nid to late May before I would get it and I was planning on drilling out the back of it this weekend to see if I...
That's the catch. They said to send the cord and the id tag with the model and serial number then they will process the info and send me a body kit around the middle to end of may? Not sure what to do, I read about a few people fixing it themselves but not sure how to go about it.
I got mine around July/August and cannot find the receipt. My son was caught chopping(hatchet) on the cord so I'm wondering what's going to happen when I send the cord back to them and it's not the original one? Do ya'll think I can do the drill out the back panel thing or go ahead and send the...
I was smoking a 9 lb butt Saturday and my thermometer said the temp on the meat was 148, when I checked it again about a half hour later the temp dropped to 142. i looked at the control panel and it said the temp was 82. I shut it off waited about 2-3 minutes and reset temp(240) and time. When I...

I went to the same store the next day asking where he was and I'm still asking how to find him. I thought I had been took but there is not a scratch on the one I got. Next time I'll buy the whole load.
Mrwizard I just sent you an email about a smoker on craigslist.
I just bought my 40" materbuilt electric(digital) black not ss for ummmmmm 25.00 in the box. I saw a guy with about 10 of them in the back of his truck at a little country store near the house and he was asking 40.00 but I got mine for ................25.00. Not much help but as a...
All the ones I have done I pull the flap of skin(probally from the neck) and put a tooth pick in each side to keep the skin over the neck cavity to hold the steam. It's your choice what to use but make sure the neck cavity is covered/plugged.
My MES was set at 230. I pulled the membrane off the bone side. I put the mustard op then the dry rub. I put the "little pieces" on about 2 hours after the ribs. I did not spritz(spray bottle broke)I did mop once. After three hours I put the ribs in foil with some juice(not a lot) out back in...
