Looks like some tenderloins and some sliced backstraps to me. Am I right?
Looking good.
Gonna have to pull some out of the freezer soon, but I won't have the tenderloins, those go on the grill the evening of the kill!!!
So my wife is looking over my shoulder tonight while I'm viewing this great forum. She say's " So, you're not the only one that takes pictures of your food, before and after." She thought I was weird.... I love taking pic's of my creations and adventures!
Forgot.... Gonna top it off with fresh diced peaches marinated in some sugar a little water to make a syrup and a few drops of almond extract, poured over vanilla ice cream. This was my grandpas recipe, and it is awesome!!!!
Thanks for the birthday wishes!
Gonna smoke then sear some filet mignon tonight. Twice baked potatoes, bruchetta, and salad, along with a few beverages.
Beautiful weather here in Iowa. Temps around 78 and sunny. Great night to hang on the deck and smell the blue smoke!!
I'm thawing out a lake trout I caught in Canada last year. Does anyone have any recipes to smoke this? Do you have to brine it? If you don't , how do you recommend smoking it.
Thanks
I would love to be there, but, that is usually the weekend that the State AAU Baseball Tournament is. We are two time State Champs, I wouldn't want to miss another shot at a title. Have fun boys and girls!!! I would like to meet up with all of you sometime though.
I came across this site on the Iowa Outdoors forum, a poster was talking about the Fatties he made and referenced this site. I checked it out, went to the store and rolled my first two fatties.
Living in Iowa not a lot of people cook outdoors year-around, but I do. I'll bbq or smoke anything...
