So my wife is looking over my shoulder tonight while I'm viewing this great forum. She say's " So, you're not the only one that takes pictures of your food, before and after." She thought I was weird.... I love taking pic's of my creations and adventures!

LOL, yeah after a while they stop looking at you like you're weird. Hubby and kids were like that for a while. Now they remind me to take the qview when I forget.

My family use to laugh too. Some still do. Now the wife says "arent you going to take picture of your food".

I was taking Q-view like crazy for awhile. By the time the family was over laughing about it, I was tired of eating cold food. Haven't taken any in while now.

Yeah, they get accustomed to it after awhile...my family even asks me to get pics of the sides they make to go with the day's smoke

. On a long smoke, like yesterdays brisket and side dish, I'll take anywhere from 70-100+ pics...then dump to the puter folders for sorting and posting the best shots. I find myself recharging the cam battery after the first 6-7 hours so I know it will make it through to the finish.

Actually for me, it helps me keep tabs on rack and probe temps, and keeps the smoke more interesting, especially when I start posting it to share here. It's a pride thing, as well as giving ideas and tips to others.

Nothin' beats looking at a great qview here on the forum, except doing your own, of course! LOL!

Enjoy the ride...it's like a good wine...gets even better with time!

Forgot to mention: I get my finished and plated pics, and then, I'm eating...that's why my blow-by-blow qviews take awhile to get the finale on the board sometimes. I just can't let a good plate of food wait!
