I thought of that too. For the price, I'm usually satisfied with their products. There are some misses but it's okay. I wish they sold battery operated tools though
I might need to try them with the smokies. I usually cook us sausage and mix it with the cream cheese but it really is rich and maybe the small hotdogs tames that richness
I've slowly been coming around to putting the meat farther away from the firebox. In the past, I would place it middle or a little right of middle but I'm wondering if I'm risking burning the meat.

We go to a campground near Ft Benning (Uchee Creek) I like to bring a bag of corn with me and spread it out. Deer will come without but it's a better turn out when you spread that out...
This is the one we have and I've had no issues. I have a manual slicer like some have mentioned. I didn't break the bank for it but I personally like the electric better and it's only $20.
A family friend use to do sirloin tips like that. drill holes and shove garlic in them. It always came out great. He actually was the one that got me interested in smoking. Sadly, he passed from the big C. great guy!
