    Another Super Bowl Butt thread....

    Never tried one much past 300 but I think it'd be fine if wrapped with a little liquid...never tried it really high heat though. I do have a buddy who has a Orion cooker and that thing does a full butt in 4.5-5hrs and it gets to very high temps at times during the cook. They don't dry out.

    Super Bowl 2017 - What's on the menu?

    Uncle is doing some ribeyes and baby backs right now, and I have 2 pork butts and a brisket getting ready for this afternoon. Tacos are sounding pretty good right now...haven't had lunch yet lol. Hope the wife gets feeling better CrankyBuzzard!!

    Well...brisket and pork butt #1 are off the smoker...finished within 10 min of each other lol. Forgot to get pic of butt when I put it in the cooler but I got one of brisket when I drained it and let it set for a few min before putting it in cooler. Brisket was at 198 when I pulled it.     Yea I never started one on the butts but I did inject them also...1-cup apple juice, 1-cup water, 1-tbsp Worcestershire, 1-tbsp soy, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup kosher salt.
