i got what you're saying this way it vents and cleans at the same time i like that got a way of doing it wont be able to mess with it til next week ill post pics when im done
yes the fire will sit on the expanded steel. i left enough height to allow for plenty of ash but as of now the ash will be a pain in the neck to clean out. not quite grasping the levered vent/clean baffles do you have any pics?
im looking for a good answer on the damper between the two chambers also as of now im leaning towards not and just using a plate as a baffle. i could build the damper easily but not have seen the benefit other than heat control,which i could do with fire size and air intake, i could be wrong...
anybody watching this post have any ideas or opinions on adding air intake? thinking of doing a slide baffle in the door. or should i keep the intakes as low as possible
how does it work, a friend of mine who is helping me build my smoker (really just keeping me company) wants to put one together when we finish mine. is it easy to control temps?
u could try using the ratio calculator thats posted all over this site it lets u put in the length and diameter . never seen a propane tank with dimensions like that in this area curious if thats a standard size
