    I have a side fire box and I have a super hot spot next to the fire box into about half of the oven. I put a small baffel plate in it but its not cutting it. I have been reading up on this thread and have to make a better one! I also will have to make a coal basket.

    WOW! that is one nice setup! I would like to move the smoke stack but have a hard time cutting up a new smoker, maybe after I use it a few times. I also like the tuning plates, I will have to try those.

    So Im thinking of moving up to a Char-Broil Silver Smoker. I know there will be some basic mods I will need to do.     Well I used some BGE this past weekend. Its the first time I have used a lump hardwood coal. I thought it burned fine, it "popped" very little and seemed to burn fairly hot. I didnt use too much and what I did use lasted awhile. I found some RO and wallmart so I will try that after I use this...

    Im looking for a recipe for cole slaw that is known to be good. I found one recipe here that sounds good but I was wondering if someone had a recipe they perfected??? I made some from a recipe on the back of a bag of premade salad and it was horrible! I dont want to do that again. Please help!!
