I can't help you with your thermometer question,
'cause I just never messed with them.
The rope gasket for any wood stove will work just fine for you though.
If you want to glue it in they will sell gasket glue for it.

Hi Jen, I have the 733 and just don't bother to program it.
I just use it as a readout, don't need all the rest of the stuff on it.
I also have the bear claws, not necessary but they're gadgets
and we all love gadgets.
My 733 is about two years old, still using the original probes.
For you...
Find a way, that's how smokers do it.
Where there is a smoker, there is a way.
We will be expecting pictures.
It will be great I'm sure of that.
Drink a beer and have fun.
Ed
Hey Al, don't light those candles,
we don't want to read about any forest fires.
Happy birthday to you, wishing you many more.
Hope your smoking goes well.
I'm almost there, turned sixty eight last week.
Ed

Good mac and cheese, but also the Kraft with the powdered whatever it is.

I always wish I had discovered this smoking habit
years ago, when I could still eat.
So many things and so many ways to smoke them.
Oh well, it's still fun, even if I do have to give most of it away.
Ed
Sounds like it worked out perfectly, your wife got what
she wanted, you got 'em the way you like 'em.
Now just don't tell anyone it was an accident.
It was the guru of the pit that accomplished this feat.
Great looking ribs, nice job.
Bet you had fun.
Points to you.
Ed
Glad to hear you're feeling better, hope the little one's better too.
Nice looking butt, I like some heat as well.
Mrs. gear, not so much, I'm kinda wimpy about hot, but she don't want any.
Points to you, Sir.
Ed
Hi Dave, yes, it can be and has been done.
I'm not being lazy here, but I can't put in a link.
Danged computer anyway.
However, if you go up to the search bar and type in ground ham
you will get many hits.
Then follow it along until you get something you want to do.
Lots of great looking...
