    I had the same issue on a bullet smoker when it was new but once it was seasoned the temps came down so that might be part of it. Congrats on your GOSM. Love mine!

    Wow I lost the first one I typed. owell. Name is Rich and I live in Central Florida near the east coast. Been smoking for 6 years now, first 2 on charcoal weber bullet, last 4 on the GOSM. I smoke mostly boston butt, shoulders, and beef brisket now a days. I love it and the food is great!
