Don’t have anything old (at least that’s useful). I do however have my “no one touches these but me” knives. Inexpensive, but they hold an edge well and touch up with steel is all that’s been done lately. I do need to probably work on my boning knife, which see the most use for my prep...
Really like mine. Works great, probes are accurate. I use this over my smoke unit now. The app is really easy to set up and use and has good range for staying connected.
Interesting, I can see what you mean. I bought mine last year, and doesn’t look at all like that. Maybe someone else has a suggestion, but maybe send photo to OKJ customer service. (Sorry not more helpful)

Now for some reason my dial on my Bronco after a few uses, evened out and is within 5 degrees of my probes. Maybe because it’s actually mounted near the grates, not...
Sounds fun. So random assignment of person to gift to and it’s the givers choice or do those who enter list a couple suggestions on what they should like to try (I.e rubs, equipment/supplies)?
Wrapping is a personal preference. I wrap in unwaxed butcher paper once my bark is where I want it.
I’ve used foil as well but prefer the butcher paper.
Being it’s just the flat, it’s likely going to be done before the butt, so wrapping and holding in a cooler maybe what you’ll have to do. You...
