I'd say my first try was a qualified success. These were "western ribs" Not perfect but pretty darn good and enjoyed by all. Made up my own little rub and smoked with apple wood and glazed with brown sugar and honey. I'm hooked!!!

I've been digging and finding some You Tube videos on using my offset smoker. About how long should I have "western ribs" on to cook? Thanks

thanks for all that. So, should I have my fire in one box and the meat in the same or the other? There seems to be a big hole between them. Maybe 12" long and a couple inches high Where would you cook/smoke the western ribs that I'm going to try?

I apologize for these questions but am trying to figure out how to use my equipment. I realize I don't have very good stuff but hope I can use what I have to learn until I upgrade and make some good stuff while learning. I have a Red Stone 3 in 1 grill from Tractor Supply. There was no real...

My first smoke? Good or bad idea?

Thanks for the feedback. I just got a new pup. Lady I got her from dehydrates chicken hearts and livers. I don't have a dehydrator so I wondered if a smoker might do the trick. Doesn't sound like too good of an idea now

My first smoke? Good or bad idea?

I don't know if this is a good idea or not. I have some scrap pieces of venison in the freezer that I'd like to make into dried dog treats. I talked to someone who has dried that stuff and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to try to smoke it. I have a small smoker that is an integral...

Thank you for having this great looking site and allowing me to participate. I am new to smoking but have read a couple books. Last year, I bought RedStone8482 4 Way Charcoal & LP Gas Grill from Tractor Supply which has a small smoker attached. Unfortunately, the only documentation was the...
