The 20070315 is the gen 1 stainless steel four rack smoker. It's one of the best out there. Masterbuilt did make improvements to the gen 2 but it's with the gen 2.5

I also only get about 30 feet but I use it most when I'm doing overnight smokes. My bedroom is upstairs just above my smoker outside so it serves its purpose for me. Plus I have a maverick 733 and it'll reach 300 feet.
All I ever had was the new 2.5 BT. It was a gift from the wifey. $329 at SAMs and comes with the stand. If money is an issue get the gen 1. Stay away from the gen 2
2 pounds will cook about 30 hours or so. the 5/8 is the one you need. Ive tried several flavors. but in general use pitmasters choice. its a nice blend that works with everything.
pork is done at 165. I pull it at 195 if I'm gonna Be letting it rest in towels in a cooler longer than an hour, otherwise I take it out of the smoker at 203 and let it rest for 30 minutes to an hour. I find butts pull better at 203.
