In order to do a cold smoke i would have to install ref. system to cool the smoker down.

Wow a crimp in the sealing element. I have used them for 5-6 years and never had that problem. maybe a QA thing and they may want it back to figure it out.
I know every time I called them they worked with me and even sent me a new unit.
The one I have now, about 1 yr old, has a wide sealing...

We have tried the vacuum bag/container and in the ref. and not. We are in a very low moisture area in AZ 10-20% during most of the year.
Just in an airtight container works great and not in the sun as it will effect some spices.

The second probe can be used for meat just a little harder to push in with the blunt nose.
Mine has good range i just set it up so it is looking into the window and i can set in the anyroom and check temps.
I do not know what thread you are talking about but i believe it takes am ADMIN to lock a thread.
Usually because it has go off the original subject, as had bad comments sent to ADMIN etc. It is a way stop it from getting out of hand.
