Hey I'm just curious what brand you guys use that is available at the store or if you make it yourself even better what recipe do you use? Thanks!
Btw I prefer something sweet with just a little kick. I've noticed anything that's all natural is so much better than artificial junk.
Can anyone give me a sku # of product from home depot used to make a baffler for the trailmaster? Also this is the expanded metal I just ordered for pick up to make my charcoal box. Is this the right stuff? I don'tthink itis galvanized. You wouldn'tbeleive the hassleit wadto fondthis stuff. I...
I just picked mine up is pretty well known that this model will rustyi knew that before I bought it and I plan on adding a coat of heat resistant red paint
Thanks. Im planning on redoing the grill witha new coat of bright red paint soon anyway since I know the current paint is going to chip. I wonder if there's any way to control the rust other than putting on better paint
I guess my real question is this stuff food safe. I understand the heat limitations but the safety is my real concern I don't want to poison all my friends and family. I will be doing a heavy heat cleaning before I use it and if it burns off the paint and seal oh well at least I'll know
Thanks all I went with the BTMLE sealed it today I ran out of time so I chose the brinkman since I have a big smoke to do this weekend and a bunch of mods to do
The reason I ask is ive heard of everyone using rutland with good results but I haven't heard so much about the applications of versachem and if this stuff isn't safe I have no problem taking it apart and cleaning every nut and bolt to reseal it.
Hi has anyone used this for sealing their grill? I used the 650 degrees rtv red versachem. I'm also using a bottle of black versachem gasket sealer for the for door in going to seal a gasket on. I used the red for putting together my BTMLE charcoal smoker to prevent leakage of air and smoke. I...
Interesting and you said that is now a char broil? I saw home depot long horn style. I just need a model that will last me 3 years since at that time I'll be able to get a nicer unit that will last me a life time( If there are still any quality products still being produced that is) But in the...
I'd go buy few bottles of Pam bbq oil spray and spray down the entire unit. Especially around seams and joints and doors. Then bring the temperature as close to the 500 mark as you can and run it for 2 to 4 hours.
Awesome ideas I just am not interested in the wsm though I have one that's exactly like it I've never used don't care for it nothing against it but just not for me im really set on a offset I may just have tunnel vision but I think I'm going to be happiest with an offset
Hi all this is my first post, I'll introduce myself, I live in the great Northwest, smoking for a year, and I have been creeping around this and other forums for the last 6 months. I have been using an electric 30" smoker. I want to get in to the charcoal offsets. I have been looking at the...

Hi all, this is my first post. I am going to smoke a pork shoulder today its a 6 pounder bone in its already been injected, and rubbed sitting overnight. I attempted to make a beef brisket last weekend and it was a disaster I left it in overnight while I was asleep. Was so dry. This is my first...
