so this sunday il be doing my first smoke, I’m going to be doing a pork butt, I’ve read so much on here and elsewhere but a lot of it is conflicting and has confused me.
Not asking for anyone’s secret recipe just curious how you all do your rubs, do you wrap? What temp do you get your smoker...
It’s not that it isn’t widely available it’s that it’s really expensive. Used to live in a really old house that had fires and the cost of the wood to run that was enough to feed the house for a week or 2 ..
So I seasoned it last night, it kicks out a lot of smoke, after seasoning I thought I’d have a play just to see how to control airflow ect. It fluctuates so much.
Can not wait to cook on it this weekend. Think I’m going to do a pork butt.
Will post photos and my experience with it after.

Hi, I’ve just purchased the OK Joe Highland. It’s really the best for the money in the UK.
I really wanted an offset or I would of gone with the Weber.
What mods do they suggest for your smoker?
I know there are a lot of U.S sites with mods but I’ve been able to find a few UK sites if I’m able to help let me know.
